Fisherman’s Bastion

Often visited for the scenic view over Budapest, the Fisherman's Bastions it is not a real fortress, but rather a terrace with an elegant walkway.
Some 140 metres long, the bastion, named after the fishermen’s guild who defended this section of the wall in the Middle Ages was designed by the architect Frigyes Schulek, who also restored the Matthias Church in the 19th century.
